Score interpretation of Duolingo
The Duolingo English Language Test is designed to accurately assess a person’s language ability and the way it is scored is very accurate. Each person’s language skills are measured by the four basic skills of writing, speaking, listening and reading.
Each person’s score is on a scale of 10 to 160. Unlike tests like IELTS and TOEFL.
Not much information is available on how Duolingo is scored, and the test is reviewed and scored by both humans and computers.
In the main exam, unlike the mock tests, only one score is given to the applicants. The score of mock test is a range, for example, 90 to 125, but the score of the main exam is issued individually, and it is in the form of 110,115. , 130, etc .. A person’s score can not be 112 or 134 as the scores are calculated 5 by 5.
